Critical Manufacturing submitted the following applications for finance incentives.
Project NR. 2009/6277
Critical Manufacturing signed a contract with AICEP for financial incentives within the scope of Project nr. 6277, with a total global investment of 461,550.00€, with execution between 11/05/2009 and 10/05/2011.
The project is called Critical Manufacturing Internationalization and it has been financed by QREN, under the Operational Programme for Competitiveness Factors, in the amount of 175.702,50€ and has the objective of stimulating the presence and promotion of the company in the international markets, the development of international marketing actions, market research and participation in fairs and international conferences.
Project NR. 2009/6577
Critical Manufacturing signed a contract with the Institute for Support of Small and Medium Enterprises and Innovation (IAPMEI) for financial incentives under the Incentive Scheme for Research and Technological Development (R&DT), after submitting an application to QREN.
The contract, for the project number 2009/6577, provides a financial incentive of 2,334,687.21 € non-reimbursable and 444,895.74 € reimbursable incentive, for an overall elegible project investment of 3,930,366.70 euros, between 2009-05-15 and 2012-04-30.The project is called SPRINT, and has been financed by QREN under the Operational Programme for Competitiveness Factors.
The project consists of a new generation Manufacturing Operations Management / Manufacturing Execution System solution. Using a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), an orchestration layer and an extensible rich functional model, the solutions shall include:
– A Manufacturing Execution layer aiming operational efficiency, including ERP integration, resource tracking, maintenance management and routing & dispatching
– Features aiming full online visibility and traceability, including material and container multi-level model, material history, genealogy and monitoring solutions
– Engineering and Process Control functionality, including Advanced Engineering Data Collection, Statistical Process Control, Bill Of Materials Management and Equipment Integration
– Integrated Quality Management, including Specification Management, Checklists & Exceptions Management, Failure Catalogue
– Operations Intelligence features, including Dashboards, Reports, OLAP and Data Mining

Project NR. 2011/28.800
Critical Manufacturing signed a contract with the Institute for Support of Small and Medium Enterprises and Innovation (IAPMEI) for financial incentives within the scope of Project nr. 21800, with a total global investment of 319,826.14€, with execution between 01/05/2011 and 30/04/2013.
The project is called “Optimization of the supply chain and international positioning of the company” (“Optimização da cadeia de valor e do posicionamento internacional da empresa”). It has been financed by QREN, under the Operational Programme for Competitiveness Factors, in the amount of 269.009, 64.00€ and has the following objectives:
– Improve the internal quality processes related with software development;
– Achieve the international recognition of being an organization with a Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) for Development with maturity Level 3;
– Stimulate the presence and promotion of the company in the international markets, the development of international marketing actions, market research and participation in fairs and international conferences, mainly related with the Healthcare industries.

Critical Manufacturing signed a contract with the Institute for Support of Small and Medium Enterprises and Innovation (IAPMEI) for financial incentives under the Incentive Scheme for Research and Technological Development (R&DT), after submitting an application to QREN.
cmNavigo Scheduling is an Individual R&DT project developed by Critical Manufacturing SA aiming to create a planning and scheduling solution, integrated into a Manufacturing Execution System, applicable to high-complex advanced industries, co-financed in 251.149,78€ by QREN, under the Operational Program of Competitiveness Factors, contracted with IAPMEI through the Finance Incentive Contract nr. 2012/24710 with a total global investment of 484.600,00€ and an execution period occurring between 03-09-2012 and 30-12-2013.
In order to disseminate the knowledge gained from this industrial research project Critical Manufacturing hosted a public event for the dissemination of project results on March 25th. More information can be found here.
Project NR. 2013/35.448
Critical Manufacturing, S.A. signed a contract with AICEP (Agência para o Investimento e Comércio de Portugal, E.P.E.) within the QREN program SIQPME (Sistema de Incentivos à Qualificação e Internacionalização de PME) under the project number 35448. The financial incentive contract, has a total investment of € 527.110,00 and the execution period initially contracted occurs between 2013/04/01 and 2015/03/31.
The project in question is co-finance by QREN under the Operational Program of Competitiveness Factors in the amount of € 80.603,64, aiming to support a strategy of business development and expansion of the company in the international markets. The internationalization initiatives involve the creation of job positions, the execution of lead generation and market search activities, the execution of online marketing initiatives and the participation in international events.
